Regularly Email Yourself the QuickBooks Customer Contact List

Keep the latest customer contact information at your fingertips, even when you're on the road. No need to log on to QuickBooks!

The QuickBooks Customer Contact List shows relevant contact information for each of your clients. It includes addresses, phone numbers, and even the balances currently owed.

To automatically email the Customer Contact List from ActiveBooks:

  1. Download, install and configure ActiveBooks, if necessary.

  2. Start ActiveBooks.

  3. Select Notification > Add to open the Add Notification window:

  4. On the General tab:

    • If you have multiple QuickBooks company files set up, choose the one you wish to report on in the Using field. We only have one so it is chosen by default.

    • In the Send the field, expand the list and choose the Customer Contact List entry.

    • In the To field, enter your email address. You can send the list to others as well - just add each email, separated by a comma.

    • Finally, we'll configure when and how often to email the list. We've set things up for 9 AM on the last day of the month, but you can choose weekly or quarterly or whatever you prefer.

  5. Click the Save >> button. In a second or two, an entry for Customer Contact List will show up in the ActiveBooks window.

  6. That's it! Your Customer Contact List will be automatically emailed to you on the last of the month at 9 AM. Feel free to preview the report (by selecting Notification > Preview...), or edit it to change the time, add email address, deliver a PDF, etc.
